6.3 Artificial intelligence (AI)

An expert system has a Knowledge base that contains a list of facts.
The Inference engine applies the Rule base to the Knowledge base to reach a diagnosis for the repair of the car. The user provides data to the system using an Interface.

characteristics of an AI system
